Dr Antony Liddell demonstrates a profound dedication to the field of sports medicine, which stems from his academic journey. He embarked on his scholastic pursuits at the University of Canberra, where he attained a degree in Exercise Physiology and Biomechanics. During this phase, his exceptional abilities were recognised with the esteemed Track and Field scholarship in the USA, enabling him to partake in intensive studies and competitive engagements within the Southland Conference. Following his return, Dr. Liddell secured admission into medical studies at the University of Queensland, earning dual University Blues for his remarkable representation in Cross Country at the national level.

In 2012, Dr. Liddell achieved the highly sought-after Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the Australian Orthopaedic Association. Subsequently, he embraced a locum position in Geraldton, further enhancing his clinical acumen before embarking on a fellowship in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy at the prestigious McGill University in Montreal. This appointment afforded him the opportunity to work closely with elite athletes from distinguished leagues such as the National Hockey League, Canadian Football League, and Major League Soccer. Throughout this period, he dedicated his efforts to researching and publishing groundbreaking work on ACL reconstruction, while extensively visiting renowned clinics across North America.

In 2014, Dr. Liddell joined The Perth Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre, concurrently holding a Consultant position at Sir Charles Gairdner and Osborne Park Hospitals. His subspecialty focus encompasses various areas, including knee ligament reconstruction, joint preservation surgery (including osteotomy techniques), and kinematic total knee replacement. Complementing his professional pursuits, Dr. Liddell maintains an active interest in road cycling and enthusiastically participates in local and international events.
