What is dermatology?

Dermatology is the medicine about skin diseases. The subject area is called “Dermatology and Venereology” in full. The infectious and non-infectious sexually transmitted diseases, which typically manifest themselves in many ways on the skin, are historically and still an important component today. They form the venereology (of Venus, goddess of love).

Dermatology and venereology is a very broad medical field that includes all skin diseases. It includes the treatment of women and men and all age categories equally.
