A/Prof Daevyd Rodda is a renowned orthopaedic surgeon recognised globally for his extensive expertise in hip and knee replacement surgeries. He specialises in minimally invasive techniques and is one of the pioneers of the anterior approach for hip replacements and patient-specific, robotic, kinematically aligned knee replacements, performing a high volume of these complex procedures each year.
Dr Rodda is not only a highly skilled surgeon but also a prominent mentor, holding the unique position of supervising the only international fellowship on the Sunshine Coast in anterior hip and knee replacement surgery. This prestigious role involves instructing both local and international orthopaedic surgeons in advanced surgical techniques over extensive months-long training periods. He also acts as a surgeon proctor, mentoring experienced orthopaedic surgeons from across Australia to advance their skills in joint replacement surgery. Dr Rodda leads in the implementation of rapid-recovery protocols for joint replacement.
