Dr JY completed the Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Melbourne before relocating to Ballarat. It was there that he worked with lovely mentors who taught him that the art of dentistry goes beyond teeth. JY has now returned to Melbourne, and along with Dr Kelvin Luk, founded Officer Smiles.

They are excited to meet the community of Officer and surrounds. JY has a caring heart, and genuinely listens to you. Meeting and helping people from all walks of life is what gets JY up for work every morning. Implant surgery and cosmetic dentistry are JY’s special interests. He also continues to expand his skills in orthopaedic and orthodontic dentistry. The attention to detail required in these disciplines is what JY loves.

He wants you to have the confidence to express your best self through a healthy smile. Outside of work, you will find JY staring into his world of planted aquascapes, checking out the latest movies and playing DOTA with his wife. In between all that, he also plays with his 2 fluffy dogs who keep him on his toes.
