Dr Udaya Ponangi is a cardiologist at the Charters Towers in Charters Towers, Queensland. He has been practising for over 20 years and is highly experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of heart conditions. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and a Member of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand. He is also an active member of the Australian Cardiac Society and the International Society of Cardiology. Dr Ponangi has a special interest in coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, congestive heart failure and valvular heart disease. He has been involved in research and clinical trials in the area of cardiovascular disease and has published several papers in peer-reviewed journals. He is also a regular speaker at conferences and symposia.
